Experience Advice - A Short Story

Image
Experience Advice     "I stopped, you don't.", said Bholanath to his students. Bholanath was a tuition teacher. He lived in the village Narayanpur. There he used to guide few students of different castes to prepare for competitive examinations. His income was little, but it helped him to maintain his family in the village setup.    Bholanath's family consisted of his wife Rima, his two sons Palash and Subir, and his daughter Kaberi. Rima was a housewife. All the children were reading in different classes. Palash was reading in class X, Subir in XI, while Kaberi was a college student. Bholanath's life was just passing by. Mental Peace - A Poem

Image
Mental Peace Family treacherous,  Life torturous,  Money matters the most,  Morality, conscience,  Empathy, promise, Are not seen here least. Endurance defeated  Mind into pieces,  Dying bit by bit  One day it will be complete,  If not checked midway  And live in our own way! Now feeling its importance  Seeking through diligence,  Trying what comes  But everywhere is a bounce,  Don't know how to overcome,  Which way to take  But have faith in God,  He must show a way  First, we have to be bold  Leave the known alley! Go Alone - A Poem

Image

Examination of Life - A Poem

Image

God's Grace - A Short Story

Image
God's Grace       "Lakshman, how will you separate the jute fibre?", ask Motilal. Lakshman replied, "God's grace". Yes, it was the story of Lakshman and Motilal. Lakshman was a pious man who had great faith in God, while Motilal was a practical man who believed in logic. It was not that he did not believe in God, but he was not a blind believer. They both lived in a village, called Serpur. It was a large village and most of the villagers had agricultural land. So, they did not have any food problem. With them lived a few vendors, shop-owners, pundits etc. Government service did not enter the village like government facilities. The villagers lived by their own means. The world affairs were useless things for them. They were engrossed in their own matters, i.e.existence.      The agricultural land was an asset for the villagers. It was their means of existence. After a great rice harvesting, the time for jute came. Most of the villagers did not saw j...
